The banh baos are so good and fresh here. The filling to bread ratio is pretty even. We stumbled upon this place leaving Phu Loc Tho and we noticed the line so you know it's good. I love the taro buns from here and I can eat a whole box like a big back.

Probably one of the busiest shops in the whole plaza! We got the bánh bao with quail egg. The filling was tender and juicy, and they still taste great for a few days in the fridge. The square pa tê sô were perfectly crunchy and flaky. We love keeping both as snacks or meal prep throughout the week. The crispy pork belly sandwiches did not disappoint either! A little bit on the pricey end, but there was a lovely medley of sweet and sour vegetables and spicy mayo filling. The crispy pork skin made for a perfect and satisfying crunch especially when after the buns were toasted! During noon, a line forms in the front, so we had to wait 10 minutes for our sandwiches. And the store is small, so best for takeout.

Oh yeah, Yummy for sure! The buns were delicious, hot & fresh. I was so full from dinner and the egg custard bun, I wanted to try their crispy pork belly banh mi sandwich, that looked really good. I just didn't have the room this time, but trust me, I will be back again to try it. Whoever came up with crispy pork belly in a banh mi sandwich, genius!

Swung by Yummy Banh Bao over the weekend after spotting a line--it moved quickly, so I figured why not? I grabbed three baos to try: salted egg, quail egg, and custard lava. The buns were fresh and had a nice bun-to-filling ratio, which I appreciated. Flavor-wise, they were solid, but my savory ones came out a bit cold, which was a small letdown. Still, they hit the spot for a quick snack, even though they're a bit pricey. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you're craving a light bite.

Came right when they opened. I was a little peeved due to the slow service. There were only a few people ahead of me but I still waited a bit. There was no seating strictly take out place only. I got a few boxes to pick up for friends and got a number 1 (combo bao) and 2 (salted yolk bao) for myself. I enjoyed the number 1, the flavor profile was very good. The number 2 was okay, just a little overpowering on certain bites of the salted yolk. For beginners go with the number 1.

The best banh bao in OC! This small shop is located next door to Phuc Luc Tho, so the parking is pretty annoying, but definitely worth it! I always get a bunch of boxes of the #3 when I make trips up to NorCal and everyone loves these baos! Some things to look out for are that I believe it's still cash only and depending on time you go, the workers might not speak English!

Good pork buns (bao). 5-layer cake with durian is also good. Tastier if you microwave it a bit before eating. I love the steamed peanuts. I like it that they fill the bag all the way to the top. There's always a line here and it moves very slowly, so be prepared.

My family always gets #2 with salted eggs or #3 with quail eggs, and #8 taro is my favorite, but they are often sold out of taro. They didn't have taro the past few times I've gone. The last time I was there, it was about 9:30 am, and I was hoping for taro, but they didn't have any ready. The store is small and gets busy, so don't lose your spot in line. Parking is limited, so if you're able to find parking you are lucky! If not, park on Moran Street at the beginning of the strip mall and do a little walking. I'd still come back here because they are so friendly and the banh bao is delicious!
